Stick Head Specs

Confused about the Boys Lacrosse head changes for 2010?
Here is a quick reference sheet to explain the specifications and to figure out if your stick or a new stick is the correct one for the level you are playing at.  As of 2010 season all lacrosse heads will be required to meet  head specifications according to new NCAA  and  US Lacrosse rules.

We have created a list below to help you figure out your classification and what sticks qualify under that rule.
Classifications are:

  • NFHS ONLY which stands for National Federation of State High School Associations www.nfhs.org
  • NCAA ONLY which stands for National Collegiate Athletic Association www.ncaa.org
  • BOTH NFHS+NCAA which can work for boTH high school and college
**HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS must follow the stick head with a NFHS Only or NCAA+NFHS classification
**NCAA PLAYERS must follow the stick head with an NCAA ONLY or NCAA+NFHS classification.


**Goalie Sticks do not need to follow the above specifications**
